Update your App and device firmware:
Outdated App or firmware often causes live stream timeouts. Check for firmware updates inside the camera settings, and update the Koocam App via Google Play or App Store.
Check your internet connection:
- Check Wi-Fi signal strength via Camera > Settings > Device Info. If the signal is weak, move the camera closer to your router.
- Unplug your router power cord for a few minutes, then plug it back in and restart it.
- Update your Koocam App and camera firmware to the latest versions.
- Fully close the Koocam App from your phone's background (swipe up on iOS, clear background tasks on Android).
- Relaunch the Koocam App and open the live stream page to see if the issue is resolved.
Update your App and firmware to the latest versions.
Check your internet connection:
- Check Wi-Fi signal strength under Camera > Settings > Device Info. Relocate the camera closer to your router if needed.

Issues such as blue-tinted or green-tinted image quality are usually caused by the unremoved plastic lens protective film.
- Please first check whether the plastic protective film on the lens has been peeled off.
- If the clarity issue persists, kindly send us your camera SN code, a photo of the installation, and a screenshot showing the clarity problem for our investigation.
Stand directly in front of the camera, walk back and forth, wave your hands or make obvious movements for 10–15 seconds. Check if the recording duration returns to normal.
Enable 24/7 continuous recording:
Root causes & solutions:

Root causes:
- Poor internet connection causes setting timeouts — configuration cannot be saved.
- Obstructions block the camera lens; distant people/vehicles appear too small on screen.
- Moving vehicles traveling faster than 60km/h drastically reduce recognition accuracy.
- Overly narrow detection zones degrade classification algorithm performance.
- Make sure your walking path is fully included within the custom detection zone.
- Adjust the camera angle to avoid direct backlight from sunlight.
- Expand the zone range if it is too narrow.
- Turn on 24/7 continuous recording mode.
Turn off general motion detection, and only keep human detection enabled.
